The Children's Nest Preschool and Daycare is an independent locally owned and operated daycare. Mrs. Gülbün Esen has been the owner and director since the facility opened on October 2, 1995. At the time, there was a strong need for a new childcare facility in Blacksburg, so, with the help of many parents and community members, The Children's Nest was founded.

The Children's Nest provides breakfast, lunch, and an afternoon snack each day. All of the food is made onsite by our professional cook. Lunch each day consists of a main course, a fruit, and a vegetable. Each meal is served with milk. We hope to pick freshly grown vegetables to eat with meals from the vegetables garden planted at the Children's Nest.
